RESOLUTION NO. 865
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTH-
ORIZING THE TRANSFER TO THE GENERAL FUND ALL MONEYS HERETO-
FORE APPROPRIATED FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE WATER CON-
STRUCTION FUND TO COMPLETE THE CLEANING OF WELL NO. 1 OF THE
CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 852, the City
Council heretofore authorized the expenditure of a sum of
money for the immediate cleaning and repairing of Well No.
1 of the City; ~and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended the can-
cellation of appropriation for said work and the abandonment
of all work to save the well; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has concurred in the
recommendation of the City Engineer;
IT IS RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the City Council hereby authorizes
the transfer to the General Fund of all moneys heretofore
appropriated from the General Fund to the Water Construction
Fund, to be used in an attempt to save City's Well No.1.
Section 2: That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
