2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COffifCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING
OF CONTRACT SUBMIT'rED BY THE J,mTROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT OF
3 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WITH THE CITY OF VERNON AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO EX:::;CUTE THE SAME.

~~REAS, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern
California has presented to the City Council of the City of Vernon
an agreement to be executed by thr City, granting said 1\Ietropo1i tan

Water District permission to occupy and use certain streets within
the. City, and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of approving of said contract

so submitted by said Metropolitan Water District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the contract heretofore submitted by the

Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to the City of
Vernon,r~quest:1rJg permission of said City to use and occupy certain
streets witllin the City be, and the same is hereby approved.
Section 2: The Mayor of the City and the City Clerk of
the City shall be, and they are hereby authorized, instructed and

empowered to execute said contract for, and in behalf of, the

City of Vernon.
Section 3: That the City Clerk shall certify to the

passage of this resolution, and thereupon, and thereafter, the
