SPECIFICATION No. 107.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

7 Heinze, has presented to the City Council Specifications for th~
8 furnishing of Paper Insulated Lead-covered Cable, and has requested
9 the City Council to approve same
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section l.; That the City Council of the City of Vernon

hereby approves Specification No. 107, a copy of which is hereto
attached and made a part of this Resolution;
Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage

of this resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be

in full force and effect.

Vernon, California, at the office of the City Clerk of said
City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, Cali-
fornia, until the hour of ~ o'clock P.M., on thez7~h

house, Vernon, California, paper-:\:nsulnted, lend.'. covered cable, in
accordance with Specifications No. .Jffl of the City of Vernon,
now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. A

DELIVERY:
The cable to be furnished under said speci-
fications shall be~delivered f.o.b. City of Vernon warehouse,
4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California. The bidder shall
state in his proposal the time after the date of the contract
within which delivery is to be made, and said cable shall
be delivered complete within said time. ~Early delivery
is important and will influence the award"

METHOD OF PAYMENT:
Payment will 'be made within not to exceed thirty
(30) days after delivery of the material so to be furnished
and delivered f.o.b. City of Vernon warehouse, Vernon, Cali-
fornia. The bidder may state conditions in his proposal as
to the time of payment on which discount will be allowed.
ACCEPTANCE OR REJECTION:
The City Council reserves the right to reject any
and all bids, or to accept any bid received which, in its
judgment, will produce the most satisfactory and/or economical
results suited to the requirements of the City.
SCHEDULE OF PROPOSAL:
To be entitled to consideration, the bid sub~
mitted pursuant to this notice and under Specifications No.
"/~, above referred to, must be made upon the. -forme. provided
. by the City Engineer of the City of Vernon, to whieh must
be attached the questionnaire furnished and required by the
City, which must be completely filled out nnd returned with
the bid.
BOND R~QUIREMENTS:
All bids must be accompanied by a certified check
or draft payable at a bank authorized to do business in the
State of California, payable at sight to the City Clerk of
the City of Vernon, in an omount equal to ten (lO~) per cent
of the bid submi tted.

The successful bidder shall furnish a bond (in
addition to the bond required in the specifications) in an
amount of fifty (50%) per cent of the total Oid, executed
by the bidder or contractor and by a surety company auth-
orized to do business in the State of California, under the
terms. of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Cali-
fornia, entitled:
"An Act to Secure the Payment of the Claims
of Persons Employed by Contractors Upon Public
Works, and the Claims of Persons Who Furnish Mater-
ials, Supplies, Teams, Implements or Machinery Used
or Consumed by Su.ch Contractors in the Performance
of Such Works and Prescribing the Duties of Certain
Public Officers with Respect Thereto",
approved May 10, 1919, and any amendments thereto.
Unsuccessful bidders' checks will be returned when
the contract is awarded. Successful bidder's check will be
returned when contract is signed and contractor's bond fur-
nished.
