A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIll CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE PROPOSITION OF TB~ SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON C01WANY FOR THE
PURCHASE OF TWO TRUCKS AND O'rrJER EQUIPIViEWr.

THE CIffY COUNCIL OF' TF~ CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

THAT WHEREAS t~e So~~herri California Edison Company did,

on the 17th day of September, 1937, make an offer in writing for
the purchase of two Moreland trucks; One F'VD Earth Boring Machine

9 and Truck; Two one-ton Ford Trucks; three Ford Pickups; two Pole
10 Dollies; One two-wheel Cable Reel Carrier and One four-wheel Cable
11 Reel Carrier for the sum of Five Thousand One Hundred Eighty-eight
12 Dollars and Seventy-three Cents ($5,188.73), and

ViHEREAS said proposition was referred to C. A. Hemnze,
14 Consulting Engineer for checking and recommendation, and
15 WHEREAS the said Consulting Engineer, on the 21st day of
16 September, 1937, submitted his report and reco~nendation in writing
17 wherein he recommended to the City Council that they accept the
18 offer of the Southern California Edison Company,
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
21 does hereby accept the offer made by the Southern California Edison
22 Company for the purchase of certain trucks and other equipment,
23 above set forth, at the price named in their offer, to-wit: Five
24 Thousand One Hundred Eighty-eight Dollars and Seventy-three Cants
25 (~;5,188.73).

Section 2: The City Clerk is authorized, instructed and
27 empowered to transfer said equipment to the Southern California
28 <dison Company, and to sign and transfer the pink slips upon the
ayment of the price named in their proposition, to-wit: Five
housand One Hundred Eighty-eight Dollars and Seventy-three Cents
