RESOLUTION No. 891.
A RESOLUTION OF lJ:'HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOn AND 'l'HE CITY CLERK TO SIGN A CONTRACT TO BECOME A
LIMITED MEMBER OF 'lllm If .JOINT POLE AGREEMENT".
THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF' VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
VrnEREAS there has been presented to the City Council an
Agreement, wherein the PACIFIC ELECTRIC RAILWAY COMPANY; LOS ANGELES
RAILWAY CORPORATION; SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON CON~Al~,LTD.; CITY
OF PASADENA; SOUTlillRN CALIFORNIA TELEPHONE COMPANY; THE BOARD OF
WATER AND PO~~R C01ITJISSIONERS OF THE CITl OF LOS ANGELES; CITY OF
GLENDALE; ASSOCIATED TELEPHONE COMPANY,LTD.; CALIPORNIA WATER AND
TELEPHONE COMPA}N; CI'lTY OF RIVERSIDE; and THE NEVADA-CALIFORNIA
ELECTHIC CORPORaTION (IWrERSTAT.E: TELEGRAPH C01\IPANY() are parties
of the first part, and the CITY OF' VERNON is the party of the second
part. And, by the terms of s~id Agreement the City of Vernon is
given a limited participation in the .JOINT POLE AGREEMENT heretofore
entered into by the parties of the first part.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section !: That the copy of the Contract submitted to
said City of Vernon be, and the same is hereby approved and accepted.
Section 2: The ~~yor of the City and the City Clerk
thereof are hereby authorized, empowered and instructed to execute
said contract for and on behalf of the City of Vernon, and the
City Clerk is directed to affix the seal of the City thereto.
Section 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Resolution, and thereupon, and thereafter, the same shall
be in full force and effect.
