"A Resolution of the City Council of the City of

to File an Application on Behalf of the City of
Vernon to the United States of America Through the
Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works
for. a Grant to Aid in Financing the Improvement of

ORNIA; AUTHORIZING AND INSTRUCTING FRANCIS BATES, CITY ENGINEER
4 OF THE CITY OF VERNON, TO FILE AN APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY OF VERNON TO Tb'E UNITED STATES OF AMERICA THROUGH THE FEDERAL
5 ~mRGENCY ADMINISTRATION OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR A GRANT TO AID IN
FINANCING THE IMPROVEMENT OJ? THE LEONIS BOULEVARD SmORM DRAIN
6 SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF VERNON, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY ENGINEER
TO FURNISH SUCH INFORMATION AS THE GOVERNMENT :MAY REQUEST.

8 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
9 Section 1: That Francis Bates, the City Engineer
10 of the City of Vernon be, and he is, authorized, instructed and
11 empowered to file an Application, for and on behalf of the City
12 of Vernon, California, to the United States of America, through
13 the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works, for a
14 grant to aid in financing the improvement of the Leonis Boulevard
15 Storm Drain System of the City of Vernon.
16 Section 2: That Francis Bates, the City Engineer
17 of said City be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to
18 furnish such information as the United States of America, through
19 the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works, may reason-
20 ably request in connection with the Application which is hereby
21 authorized to be filed.
22 Section 3: The Ci ty Clerk of the City of Vernon
23 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon
.
24 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
