3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, CALIF-
ORNIA, INCREASING THE SALARY OF L. C. NE'VYJ1.AN, A MEMBER OF THE
4 FIRE DEP A...l-1TMENT .
5 THE CITY COu"'NCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: Th~t,the compensation of L. C. Newman
7 shall be, in addition to the compensation now received, increased
8 $20.00 per month, said additional compensation to be charged.' as
9 follows:
10 $10.00 per mon~h; to the Fire Department;

$ 5.00 per month to the Water Department; and
$ 5.00 per month to the Street Department.
13 Said increase shall be in effect from and after the 1st day of
14 July, 1938, until further order of the City Council.

Section 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
16 shall certify to the passage of this resolution" and thereupon
17 and thereafter the same:!3hall be in full force and effect.
