'mAT WHEREAS, the ai ty Council of the Oi ty
of Vernon did, in open session, on the 12th day of
December, 1938, open, examine and dec~are the sea~ed
proposals or bids for the doing of ce~tain work and
improvements in said Oity wader and pursuant to a
Notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the doing
of said work described in said Botice and Specifications
117, heretofore approved by the City Council on the ~5th
day of November, 1938, by Resolu:t'-on No. 946; said reso-
lution is now on file in the ofrice of the Oi ty Clerk of
said Oity, and is hereby expressly referred to for further
particulars; and
WHEREAS, upon the reading of said proposals or
bids for the doing of the 'Work aforesaid, the Oi ty Council
referred all bids to the Oity Engineer of the City of
Vernon for checking and report; and
1IHEREAS, the City Engineer did check all of
said bids and recommends that the contract be awarded

NOV, THER.EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: !hat the said Oity Oouncil recommends
that the award of the contract for the doing cf said work
a~d improvement be awarded to Qhe rfJ B rQ S.
.~, the biclder recommended by the Oi ty
Engineer of said City, he being the lCfRest responsible
biclder, at the :r;rice named in its bid; said award being
subject to approval by the Regional Director, Public
Works Administration.
Section 2: !he City Olerk shall certify to
the plssage of this Resolu.tion, and thet'eupon and there-
after the same ahall be in full rorce and effect.
