3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AWARDING
THE CONTRAGT FOR THE WORK AND ntPRIl>VEMENT DESCRiBED IN THE
4 NOTIGE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS AND SPECIFICATIONS NO. 117.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, the City Gouncil of the Gity of Vernon did,
7 in open session, on the 12th day of December, 1938, open, ex-
8 amine and declare the sealed proposals or bids for the doing
9 of certain work and improvement in said City under and pursuant
10 to a Notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the doing of
11 said work, described in said Notice and in Specifications No.
12 117, heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of
13 Vernon on the 15th day of November, 1938, by Resolution No. 946;
14 said Resolution is now on file in the office of the City Clerk,
15 and is hereby expressly referred to for further particulars.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1: That the said City Council hereby rejects
18 all of said proposals or bids except. the next herein mentioned,
19 and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improve-
20 ment, to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit,
21 Oherg Bros.
22 named in its bid.
23 Section 2: The City Attorney of the City of Vernon
, at the price
24 is hereby authorized and instructed to prepar~ the nec'ssary

co~tract, to conform with the Notice invit!ngsealed proposals
or bids, Specifications No,. 117 and this Resolution of award, for,
and on behalf of the City of Vernon.
Section 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution,
and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in fu.ll force
and effect.
