A. RESOLUTION OF THE OIfi COUNOIL OF TEl!:
OITY OF VERNON RECOMMENDING THE AWARD OF
THE OONTRACT Fm TEE WORK AND IMPROVEMENTS
DESCRIBED IN THE Nar ICE Fm SEAT~ PRO-
POSALS OR BIDS AND SlECIFIO&TIONS NO. 118.
THE CITY OOUNOILOF THE CITY OF VERNON DmS RESOLVE AS FOLLQV S:
mmREAS, the City Council of the Oity ff Vernon
did, in open session, on the 12th day of December, 1938,
open, examine and declare the sealed proposals or bids
ror the doing of certain work and improvements in said
Gity under and pursuant to a Notice inviting sealed pro-
posals or bids for the doing of said work described in
said Notice and SpecificationB 118, heretofore approved
by the O~ty Oouncil on the 15th day o:fBovemb er, 1938,
by Resolu.tion No. 947; said Resolution is now on file
in the office of the City Clerk of said Oity, and is
hereby expressly referred to for further particulars; and
WHEREAS, upon the reading of said proposals or
bids for the doing of the work aforesaid, the City Oouncil
referred all bids to the City Engineer of the City of
Vernon for checking and report; and
lIHEREAS, the City Engineer did check all of said
bids and recommends that the contract be awarded to
Arfukovlch Bros.

NOW ,'l'HEHEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That the said City Gouncil recommends
that the award of the contract for the doing of said work
and im])rovement be awarded to Au/aka v/ch Bra s.
, the bidder recommended by the City
Engineer ol.a.id CitY', he being the lowest responsible
bidder, at the price named in its bid. Said award being
subject to approval by the Regional Director, Public Works
Administration.
Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and therea~ter
the same shall be in full force and e~fect.
