A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OOUNOIL CF THE
CITY <F VERNON BEGOMMENDING THE AWARD or
THE ao NTRACT FOR THE WCR K AND D4PROVEMENTS

POSAIB OR BIDS AND SlE CIFIOATIONS NO. 119
THE CITY COUNOIL CF THE OITY CF VERNON rxBS RESOLVE AS FOLLO"iS:
mAT WBllR.EAS, the Oi ty Counoil of the City cf
Vernon, did, in open session, on the 12th day of December,
1938, open, examine and declare the sealed proposals
or bids for the doing of certain work and improvements
in said Oi ty untler and pursuant to a Not ice inviting
sealed proposals or bids for the doing of said work
described in said Notice and Specifications 119, hereto-
fore approved by the Oi ty Oouncil on the 28th day of Nov-
ember, 1938, by Resolution No. 952; said Resolution
is now on file in the office of the Ci ty Clerk of said
Oity, and iz hereby expressly referred to for further
particularz; and
WHEREAS, upon the reading of said proposals or
bids for the doing o:f! the work aforesaid, the City Oouncil
referred all bids to the City Engineer of the Oi~y at
Vernon for checking and report; and
WBERE.A.8, the City Engineer did. check all of
said bids and recommends that the oontract be awarded

WOW, TBDEFORE,BE IT RESOLVED:
Section l: !hat the said City Council recommends
that the award of the contract for the doing of said work
and improvement be awarded to (jr;(1ilh CbmfEn,V
, the bidder recommended by the City
Engineer of said Gity, he being the lowest responsible
bidder, at the price named in its bid. Said award being
subject to approval by the Regional Director, Public Works
Administration.
Section 2: 'l'he Gity Clerk shall certl:fy to the
passage of this Resolution, and the~ 1Ild. tllereafter
the saa. shall be in full foroe and effect.
Adopted and approved by said Oi ty Council this
