RESOLUTION NO. 976

3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, WITH-
DRAWING FROM THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FREE LIBRARY SYSTEM, AND
4 NOTIFYING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
THAT THE CITY OF VERNON NO LONGER DESIRES TO BE A PART OF THE
5 LOS ANGELES COUNTY FREE LIBRARY SYSTEM.
6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: That the City of Vernon, from and after
8 the date of this Resolution no longer desires to be a part of
9 the Los Angeles County Free Library System.
10 Section 2: That the Board of Supervisors of the
11 County of Los Angeles be notified that from and after the date
12 of the adoption of this Resolution the City of Vernon no longer
13 desir~s to be a part of the Los Angeles County Free Library System.
14 Section 3: That the City Clerk shall certify to the
15 passage of this Resolution, and shall cause a c~rtified copy
16
thereof to be filed with the Board of Supervisors of the County
17 of Los Angeles, said copy to be considered as a notification to
18 said Board of Supervisors that the City of Vernon no longer de-
19 sires to be a part of the Los Angeles County Free Library System.

Section 4: That this Resolution shall be in full
21 force and effect from and after the date of filing a certified
22 copy of same with the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
23 Angeles.

3 of said City at an adjourned regular meeting thereof, held on
4 the 9th day of May, 1939, and that prior to the adoption of said
5 Resolution, Notice was given in the manner and form required by
6 law that said Resolution was to be voted upon the date of its
7 adoption. Said Resolution was adopted by the following vote:

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Pursuant to an Order of the City Council of the
City of Vernon given the 18th day of April, 1939, NOTICE IS
HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Vernon will,
on the 9th day of May, 1939, at three o'clock P.M., at the
Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located
at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California, vote upon Resolu-
tion No. 976 , a resolution entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE
CITY OF VERNON, WITHDRAWING FROM THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY FREE LIBRARY SYSTEM, AND
NOTIFYING- THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES THAT TEE CITY OF
VERNON NO LONGER DESIRES TO BE A PART OF
THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FREE LIBRARY SYSTEM."
