3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY. OF VERNON AWARDING
THE CONTRACT FOR THE WORK Al{D I}~ROVE~ffiNT DESCRIBED IN THE NOTICE
4 INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS AND SPECIFICATIONS NO. 120.

THE CITY' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE cAS FOLLOWS:

7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon did.
8 in open session, on the 16th day of May, 1939, open, examine and
9 declare the sealed proposals or bids for the doing of certain work
10 and improvem.ent in said City under and pursuant to a Notice invit-
11 ing sealed proposals or bids for the doing of said work, described
12 in said Notice and in Specifications No. 120, heretofore approved
13 by the City Council of the City of Vernon on the 18th day of April,
14 1939, by Resolution No. 980; said Resolution is now on file in
15
the office of the. City Clerk, and is hereby expressly referred to
for further particulars.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That the said City Council hereby rejects
all of saidproposa~s or bids except the next herein mentioned,
and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improvement
to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit, S. M. MILOVICH,at the
price named in his bid.
Section 2: The City Attorney of the City of Vernon is
hereby authorized and instructed to prepare the necessary contract,
to conform with the Notice inviting sealed proposals or bids,
Specifications No. 120, and this Resolution of award, for, and on
behalf of the City of Vernon.
Section 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution, and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
