RESOLUTION NO. 1011

3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHORIZING
THE IMMEDIATE SPENDING OF $1024.00 FOR REPAIRING OF A PUMP IN ONE
4 OF THE WELLS OF THE CITY WATER DEPARTMENT, AS AN EMERGENCY.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
6 THAT WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Vernon
7 informed the City Council that it was necessary to the adequate
8 and efficient production of water for the City water system to
9 pull one of the pumps; and
10 WHEREAS, when said pump was withdrawn from the well
11 it was found necessary to make repairs on same immediately in
12 the sum of $1024.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Engineer has informed the City
14 Council that it would be dangerous to the public interest to
15 wait the full period of time to advertise for the repairing of
16 said pump,
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
