RESOLUTION NO. 1029
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C01JNCIL OF THE CITY OF
. VERNON, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING AND REPEALING
RESOLUTION NO. l022 ADOPTED JUNE 25, 1940.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon,
California, did on the 25th day of' June, 1940, duly and :regu~
la.rly pass and adopt Resolution No. 1022 awarding and sell~ng
bonds in the sum of $340,000.00 of City of Vernon Sewer
District No. One, designated as "City of Vernon Sewer District
No.; One Bonds, Elect.ion 1939"; and
WHEREAS, Blyth & Co., Inc., and OIMelveny-Wagenseller
6;: Durst have requested the City Council to rescind and vacate
the sale of said $340,000.00 of bonds of
District No. One, designated as "City of
No. One Bonds, Election 1939"; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the best
interests of the City of Vernon will be served by vacating and
rescinding the sale of said "City of Vernon Sewer District:t:]"o.
One Bonds, Election 1939", and by rescinding and,repealing said
Resolution No. 1022,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Vernon
does resolve and order as follows:
.Section 1: That Resolution No. 1022 entitled uA

TRICT NO. ONE BONDS, ELECTION 19391" be, and the same ls he.reby.
rescinded and repealed.
Section 2: That the sale of $340,000.00 of Vernon
Sewer District No. One Bonds designated as "City of Vernon Sewer
Dlstrict No. One Bonds, Election 1~39" to Blyth & Co., Inc. and
OIMelveny-Wagenseller & Durst be:, and the same is hereby can-

celed, vacated, rescinded and of no further force or effect.
Section 3: The Treasurer of the City of Vernon is
instructed to return the deposit of Thirty-five Thousand Dollars
($35#000.00) .to Blyth & Co., Inc. and O'Melveny-Wagenseller &
Durst.

Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Resolution of the City Council of the City of Vernon,
and cause the same to be posted in three (3) public places
located in the City of Vernon, and likewise in the City of Vernon
Sewer District No. One, to wit: on the bulletin board in the
lobby of the City Hall of the City of Vernon, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue;
at the Northwest corner of 38th St:reet and Santa :E"e Avenue; and
at the Northwest corner of 37th street and Santa Fe Avenue.
This resolution shall take effect immediately.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of.
Vernon, and approved by the Mayor of said City, this 17th day of
December, 1940.
