3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON,CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF VERNON TO ACCEPT THE SIGNA-
4 TURE OF J, B, LEONIS AS IvlAYOR PRO TEM UUTIL FURTHER NOTICE IN LIEU
OF THE SIGNATURE OF J. J, FURLONG ON CITY OF VERNON CHECKS,

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS, J. J, Furlong, Mayor of the City of Vernon is now
8 confined to his home with illness; and
9 WHEREAS, it is necessary that the signature of J. J. Furlong
10 as Mayor of the City of Vernon be on all cheeks drawn upon the
11 First National Bank of Vernon; and
12 WHEREAS, the City Council did appoint J, B. Leonis, ~~yor
13 Pro Tem; and
14 WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to have J.
15 B. Leonis, Mayor Pro Tem, sign all checks in lieu of J. J. Furlong
16 until further notice;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1.
That J. B. Leonis, Mayor Pro Tem, of the City
19 of Vernon, be authorized to sign City of Vernon checks drawn upon
20 the First National Bank of Vernon,

Section 2.
That the First National Bank of Vernon be, and
22 it is hereby, authorized and requested to honor the signature of
23 J, B. Leonis as Mayor Pro Tem in lieu of the signature of J. J.
24 Furlong.

Section 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect and shall remain in effect until the City
Council of the City of Vernon repeals the same by another resolu-
tion.
