2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA.,
AUTHORIZING THE CITIZENS NATIONAL TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK TO ACCEPT
3 THE SIGNATURE OF J, B, LEONIS AS MAYOR PRO TEM UNTIL FURTHER NO-
TICE IN LIEU OF THE SIGNATURE OF J. J, FURLONG ON CITY OF VERNON
4 CHECKS.
5 TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
6 \'lJHEREAS6 J. J. FURLONG6 Mayor of the City of Vernon is now
7 confined to his home with illness; and
8 WHEREAS6 it is necessary that the signature of J. J. Furlong
9 as Mayor of the City of Vernon be on all cheeks drawn upon the
10 First National Bank of Vernon; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council did appo int J. B. Leonis 6 Mayo'r
12 Pro Tem; and
13 WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to have J.
14 B. Leonis, Mayor Pro Tem6 sign all cheeks in lieu of J.J,Furlong
15 until further notice;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1.
That J, B. Leonis6 Mayor Pro Tem of the City
18 of Vernon6 be authorized to sign Ci ty of Vernon cheeks drawn upon
19 the First National Bank of Vernon.
20 Section 2. THAT Citizens National Trust and Savings Ba;tk be.
21 and it is hereby 6 authorized and reque sted to honor the signature
22 of J. B. Leonis as Mayor Pro Tem in lieu of the signature of J,
23 J, Furlong,

Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
25 this resolution6 and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be

hereby certify that the foregoing resolution No. 1047 was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Vernon, and approved
by the Mayor of the said city at a regular meeting thereof held
