RESOLUTION NO. 1053
A RESOLUTION OF . THEGITY COUNCIL. OFT HE CITY OF VERNON ,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF VERNON
TO HEREAFTER ACCEPT THE SIGNATURES UPON ALL CHECKS DRAWN
UPON THE FUNDS OF THE CITY OF VERNON SIGNED BY THE CITY
TREASURER, J:i', G, FRENCH AND COUNTERSIGNED BY T .J,FURLONG
AS CI TY CL~ OR G. A. ANDERSON' AS DEPUTY CITY CLERK,. THE
CITY COUNCIL DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council
of the. City or Vernon, California to eliminate certain.
signgtures from the checks drawn upon the City funds,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT. RESOLVED:
Section=l: That the First National Bank of Vernon
is hereby respectfully requested to accept the signature
of eltherT, J.Furlong as City Clerk, or G. .&, Anderson
as Deputy City Olerk,with the signature of F.G,French
as City Treasueer of the C.ity of Vernon in lieu of the
signatures now required,
Section 2: That the First National Bank of Vernon
be'a.ndit is hereby authorized and requested to honor the
signa.ttlresupon all checks countersigned by T. J. Ptj.rlong
as City Clerk, or G, A. Ande:l5son as Deputy City Clerk with
the signature of F, G. French as City Treasurer.
Section 3: All Resolutions and parts of Resolutions
in conflicD with this Resolution be and t'he same are herElby
repealed,
Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall remain in effect until the City Council
of the City of Vernon repeals the same by another Reso1ution,
Adopted and approved this July 1, 1941.
