RESOLUTION NO. 1069
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE CITIZENS NATIONAL TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK
TO HEREAFTER ACCEPT THE SIGNATURES OF F, G, FRENCH AS
CITY TREASURER AND T, J. FURLONG AS CITY CLERK OR G. A,
ANDERSON AS DEPUTY CITY CLERK WHO ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED
TO HAVE AC6ESS TO ['HE SAFE DEPOSIT BOXES OF THE CITY OF
VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of
the City of Vernon to authorize certain persons to have
access to the safe deposit boxes of the City of Vernon
heretofore. rented from the Citizens National Trust and
Savings Bank of Los Angeles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That F. G, French as City Treasurer,
T. J,' Furlong as City Clerk or G. A, Anderson as Deputy
City Clerk be and they are hereby.authorized to have access
to said safe deposit box; and F, G. French as City Treasurer
with T. J, Furlong as City Clerk or G. A. Anderson as
Deputy City Clerk shall have full power and authority to
do and perform, with reference to both withdrawing or
changing from time to time, the contents of said safe de-
posit box, or in relation to any other thing pertaining
thereto, including the surrender of said safe de~osit box
and the keys thereof, and all things which said bank or its
agents may deem necessary in and about the premises.
Section 2: The City of Vernon hereby agrees to
save said bank, its successors and assigns, harmless from
and against any and all demands, liabilities, loss, damages,
or expense of whatsoever kind or nature. including attorney's
fees, which it shall at any time sustain or incur by reason

1 or in consequence of its relying or acting upon any of
2 the agreements, declarations, conditidns or regulations
3 contained upon the attached card of the Citizens National
4 Tnust and Savings Bank being designated as "special in-
5 struction contract" upon which the signatures of F, G.
6 French, T. J. Furlong and G. A, Anderson appear,

Section 3: That no rescission, modification,
8 revocation or termination of all or any part of the within
9 resolutions or of any powers conferred thereby shall be
10 effective as to the said Bank until written notice of the
11 same has been given to the office or branch of said bank
12 at which said safe deposit box is rented.

Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Resolution and shall cause a certified
copy thereof to be filed with the Citizens National Trust

and Savings Bank of Los Angeles, and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect and shall

remain in effect until the City Council of the City of
Vernon repeals the same by another Resolution.
