RESOLUTION NO. 1072
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
DECLARING THAT PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY REQ.UIRES
THAT THE CITY OF VERNON PURCHASE CERTAIN PROPERTY.
THE CITY COUNC IL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, it is neoessary for the City to pur-
ohase land for the drilling of a water well and the oon-
struotion of the neoessary housing, water pipes and ao-
oessories for the pumping of water and also to secure
land for the purpose of erecting a fire station thereon,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Seotion 1: That the City Clerk be and he is
hereby instruoted to post a Notioe inviting property
owners within the hereinafter described territory to
submit proposals to the City for the sale and purohase
of:
A paroel of land containing not less than
five (5) nor more than eight (8) acres,
having substantial frontage on a public
street, and located within the City of
Vernon preferably within the area bounded
by Downey Road, a line drawn parallel with
and one thousand (1000) feet southerly from
Fruitland Avenue, So to Street and Leonis
BOUlevard, respeotively,
The land submitted must be fairly leval, not sub-
jeot to serious overflow by storm waters, and shall besus-
ceptible of development as a site for wells, pumping plant
and storage facilities, and as a site for City Fire Depart-
ment sub-station and such other Munioipal purposes as the
City may require.

Seotion 2: The City Clerk shall oertify to the
passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter same
