RESOLUTION NO. l082
A RESOLUTION OF THE OITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AWARDING TO THE GRIFFITH COMPANY THE CONTRACT FOR OERTAIN
IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE IN FIFTY-FIFTH STREET AS PER
SPEOIFIOATION NO. 128.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS :
WHEREAS, the City has heretofore publicly adver~
tised for bids for the improvement to be made in Vernon
Avenue in the Oity of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, the Griffith Company has filed a pro-'
posal or bid for the doing of the work specified in
Specifica tion No. 128 for the sum of Nine Thousand One
Hundred Ninety-three and 97/100ths ($9,l93.97)Dollars" and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to award the
contract for the doing of the work set forth in Specifi-
cation No. 128 to the Griffith Company,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section l: That all bids heretofore received
for the doing of the work set forth in Specification No.
128 be rejected except the bid of the Griffith Company
and they be and are hereby awarded the contract for the
doing of said work for the sum of Nine Thousa.nd One Hundred
Ninety-three and 97/l00ths ($9.193.97) Dollars.
Section 2: That the Oity Clerk be and he is hereby
authorized, instructed and empowered to return all checks
received by him to all unsuccessful bidders.
Section 3: The Oity Clerk of the City of Vernon
is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this
Resolution and thereupon and thereafter same shall be in
full force and effect.
Adopted and approved this 23rd day of September,
1941.
