A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE WITHDRAWING OF CERTAIN MONIES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:

Section 1: That the City Treasurer of the City

of Vernon be and he is hereby authorized, instructed and

empowered to draw a check and have same certified, or
9
purchase a cashier's check in the sum of Ninety-four
Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-eight and 60/100ths ($94,298.60)

Dollars, payable to the County Clerk of Los Angeles County.
Section 2: Said check so drawn and deposited shall
be for the purpose of taking immediate possession of the
land to be condemned by the City of Vernon and described
in the complaint now on file in the Superior Court of the

State of California, in and for the County of Los Angeles,

said case being numbered 469,587.

Section 3: The amount of Ninety-four Thousand Two
19
Hundred Ninety-eight and 60/100ths ($94,298.60) Dollars so
fixed to be deposited in said Court for the taking of
ilrunediate possession of said land is based upon the Affidavit
of Jas. R. Jol:mston, a real estate broker and appraiser,
heretofore employed by the City Council of the City of Vernon,
a copy of which is a ttached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and
by this reference made a part hereof as though set forth in
full at this point.
Section 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution
and thereupon and thereafter same shall be in full force
and effect.
