A RESOLUTION OF TEE CITY OOUNOIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE WITHDRAWING OF CERTAIN MONIES TO PUROHASE
PROPERTY IN ACCORDANCE WITH JUDGMENT OF COURT.
TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS~ the Superior Court of the State of California,
in and for the Oounty of Los Angeles, did on the 24th day
of November, 1941~ enter an Interlocutory Judgment in Book
1253, page 305 in case No. ~7,~~?, in favor of J.B. Leonis,
Inc., a corporation in the condemnation of certain land de-
scribed in said complaint, and

WHEREAS, the City has heretofore deposited with
the County Clerk of Los Angeles County, the sum of Forty-
seven Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty-five and 28/100ths
($47,925.28) Dollars, for the purpose of taking immediate

possession of said land, and
WHEREAS, it is now the desire of the City to pay
the full judgment price for said property in accordance
with the Decree of Oourt,

NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
Section l: That the City Treasurer of the Oity

of Vernon be and he is hereby authorized, instructed and
empowered to draw a check and have same certified~ or
purchase a cashier's check in the sum of Twenty-eight
Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-five and 17/100ths ($28,755.17)

Resolution and thereupon and therearter same shall be in

No. l092, was duly adopted by the City Oouncil of the City
