A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNOIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON,
3 AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF MR. LEONARD TIERNEY AS FIELD
ENGINEER FOR THE CITY OF VERNON.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

THAT, WHEREAS, the City-Engineer, Francis Bates, has
requested the employment of Mr. Leonard/tierney as Field
Engineer, at a salary of $l90.00 per month, beginning April
8, 1942; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Oouncil of the City
of Vernon to comply with the request of the Oity Engineer,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That Mr. Leonard Tierney be, and he is hereby,
employed by the City of Vernon in the capacity of Field Engineer
under the direction and supervision of ~he City Engineer, at a
salary of $190.00 per month, beginning April 8, 1942.
Section 2: The term for which Mr. Leonard Tierney shall
be e~ployed shall be at the pleas~e of the Board.

Section 3: The City Clerk shall cer~ify to the passage
of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
remain in effect until further order of the City Council.
