A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON,
AWARDING TO RELIAB~ IRON FOUNDRY, INC., THE C ONTRAOT
FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERING TO THE CITY OF VERNON
OERTAIN MERCHANDISE SET FORTH IN THE NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City has heretofore publicly adver-
tised for bids for the furnishing and delivering to the City
of Vernon certain merchandise set forth in the Notice Invit-
ing Sealed proposals or bids; and
WHEREAS the Reliable Iron Foundry, Inc., has
filed a bid for the furnishing and delivering of said mater-
ial for the sum of Six hundred sixty-six dollars and twenty-
nine cents ($666.29), less 2%, ten days:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
Section l. That all bids heretofore received for
the furnishing and delivering of a certain portion of the
merchandise set forth in the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals
and Bids for the furnishing and delivering of miscellaneous
pipe and fittings for equipping City's Well No.7 to the City
of Vernon, be and ther are hereby rejected with the exception
of the bid of Reliable Iron Foundry, Inc., and it is hereby
awarded the contract for the furnishing and delivery of the
following merchandise:

Section 2. The City Clerk be and he is hereby
9 authorized, instructed and empowered to return all checks of
10 the unsuccessful bidders.

Section 3. The City Attorney be and he is hereby
12 authorized to draw a contract in compliance with the Notice
13 Inviting Sealed Proposals and Bids and the Bid of the Con-
14 tractor covering the sale and purchase of the aforesaid
15 miscellaneous pipe and fittings.

Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter
same shall be in full force and effect.
