A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF VERNON" AWARD-
3 ING TO CHAPMAN VALVE MFG. CO. THE CONTRACT FOR TEE FURNISHING
AND DELIVERING TO TEE 'CITY OF VERNON CERTAIN VALVES SET FORTH
4 IN THE NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:

W~REAS the City has heretofore publicly advertised
for bids f'or the f'urnishing and. delivering to the City of'

Vernon certain valves, as set forth in the Notice Inviting
Sealed Proposals or Bids; and.
WHEREAS the Chapman Valve Mf'g.. Co., has filed a bid
f'or the f'urnishing and delivering of' said valves for the sum
of $1,,034.32;
NOW, THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That all bids heretofore received for the
furnishing and delivering to the City of Vernon a certain por...
tion of the pipe and fittings set forth in the Notice inviting
Sealied Proposals and. Bids for the furnishing and. delivering of
miscellaneous pipe and fittings for equipping City Hall Well
No.7, to the City of Vernon" be and they are hereby rejected"
with the exception of the bid of Chapman Valve Mfg. Co." and
it is awarded the contract for the furnishing and delivering
of the following merchandise:

Section 2.
The City Clerk be and he is hereby
authorized and empowered to return all checks to unsuccessful
bidders.
Section 3.
The City Attorney be and he is hereby
authorized to draw a contract in compliance with the Notice
Inviting Sealed Proposals and Bids and the Bid of the Con-
tractor, covering the sale and purchase of the aforesaid
miscellaneous fittings.
Section 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
