2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, AP-
PROVING THE ACTS OF THE CITY ENGINEER IN EMPLOYING EXTRA
3 CLERICAL HELP.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS the City Engineer of the City of Vernon
6 did employ Bernice Rowe and Amelia Miller to assist him in
7 the clerical work in connection with the construction pro...
8 gram with the Federal Works Agency, said Bernice Rowe worked
9 from May 21, 1942 to June 1, 1942 at the rate of $5.00 per
10 day for eight hours, and Amelia Miller beginning work on May
11 27, 1942,her services being extended to and including June
12 6, 1942, at the rate of $5.00 per day for eight hours, and
13 WHEREAS it was necessary for said employment '
14 between meetings of the City Council:
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1. That the act of the City Engineer in
17 employing said Bernice Rowe and Amelia Miller at the rate of
18 $5.00 per day of eight hours, be and the same is hereby ap-
19 proved.

Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
21 is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolu-
22 tion and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full
23 force and effect.
