3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF EDWARD BOWEN TO ASSIST THE
4 FIRE CHIEF IN PREPARING PLANS TO REC OMMEND TO SEVERAL FIRMS
IN THE CITY OF VERNON AS TO THE PROPER METHOD OF SPACING HY-
5 DRANTS IN THEIR PLANTS TO ASSIST IN FIRE FIGHTING AND PRE-
VENTION.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That Edward Bowen be, and he is, hereby
9 employed by the City of Vernon to assist the Fire Chief in
10 preparing plans to recommend to several firms in the City of
11 Vernon as to the proper method~ spacing hydrants in their
12 plants to assist in fire fighting and prevention.

Section 2.
That the said Edward Bowen shall receive
14
a reasonable compensation to be paid by the City for his ex-
15
pert services.
16
Section 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
17
of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
remain in full force and effect.

Adopted and approved this 16th day of June, 1942.
