RESOLUTION NO. 1143
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ~ AWARD-
ING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE 2ft TON MOTOR TRUCK
CHASSIS AND APPURTENANCES IN CONFORMITY WITH SPECIFICATION
NO. 132.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ the City has heretofore publicly advertised for
bids for the furnishing of one 2ft ton Motor Truck Chassis and
Appurtenances in accordance with Specifications No. 132; and
WHEREAS the General Motor Truck & Coach Division of
Yellow Truck and Coach Manufacturing Company, has filed a
bid for the furnishing of said Motor Truck Chassis and appur-
tenances, for the sum of $1_743.99~ and
WHEREAS the City Engineer of the City of Vernon has
recommended that said contract be awarded to the General Motors
Truck & Coach Division of Yellow Truck and Coach Manufactur-
ing Company~ they hav~ng offered the lowest and best bid:
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That all bids heretofore received for the
furnishing of one 2* ton Motor Truck Chassis and Appurtenanoes
in accordance with Specification No. l32~ be r~jected~ with the
exception of the bid of General Motors Truck & Coach Division of
Yellow Truck and Coach Manufa-cturing Co., and that it;is hereby

awarded the contract for the furnishing of said 2* ton Motor
Truck Chassis and Appurtenanoes, for the sum of $1,743.99, Calif...
o~ia Sales Tax to be born by the City.
Section 2: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
empowered to return all checks of the unsucoessful bidders.
Section 3: The City Attorney be and he is hereby author-
ized to draw a contract in complianoe with the Notice inviting
