4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON~ AWARD-
ING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE CUSTOM-BUILT FIRE TRUCK
5 BODY AND APPURTENANCES IN CONFORMITY WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO.
133.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS the City has heretofore pub1ioly advertised for
bids for the furnishing of one custom-built Fire Truok Body and
Appurtenances in conformity with Speoifications No. 133; and
WHEREAS the Standard Carriage Works, Ino.~ has filed a
bid for the furnishing of said oustom-built Fire Truok Body and
Appurtenanoes for the sum of $1450.00; and
WHEREAS the City Engineer of the City of Vernon has recom-
mended the bid of the Standard Carriage Works, Ino., be accepted
and they be awarded the contract for the furnishing of said ous-
tom-built Fire TrUCk Body and Appurtenances for the sum of
$1450.00, that being the lowest and best bid obtainable for the
furnishing of said equipment in conformity with Specification

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That all bids heretofore received for the

furnishing of one custom-built Fire Truck BOdy and Appurtenances
10 conformity with Speoifications No. 133 be, and the same are
hereby rejected, with the exception of the bid of the Standard
Carriage Works, Ine., and that it be awarded the oontract for the
furhishing of said custom-built Fire Truck Body and appurtenances
for the sum of $1450.00, California sales tax to be born by the
City.

Section 2.
The City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized,

instructed and empowered to return all ohecks of the unsuccessful
bidders.

Section 3. The City Attorney be and he is hereby
4 authorized to draw a contract in compliance with the Notice
5 Inviting Sealed Proposals and Bids and the bid o~ the Contractor
6 covering the sale and purchase o~ the a~oresaid custo~built
7 Fire Truck Body and appurtenances.

Section 4. The City Clerk shall certi~y to the passage
of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and e~fect.
