RESOLUTION NO. 1153
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNOIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
APPROVING THE ABSORPTION OF~fY LOSSES ARISING FRO~THE COL-
LECTION OF DELINQUENT TAXES GROWING OUT OF MOl{gy ADVANCED
FOR THE SEVERAL BOND FUNDS FOR ALL YEARS UP TO AND INQLUDING
THE FISCAL YEAR 1940-l94l. "\\.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~rlE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

THAT~WHEREAS~ the City Treasurer pursuant to an order
of the City Council hasheretofore advanced moneys from the Gen-
eral Fund of the City to the' various bond interest and redemption
funds of the City, with the understanding that all collections
made subsequent"to the date of the respective advances shall
be repaid to the general fund~ and

WHEREAS all of said moneys have not been repaid to the

General Fdnd, but said general fund has received penalties
and interest upon delinquent taxes, and
Vf.HEREAS the amount involved is very small and requires
an elaborate record to determine the amount of delinquent taxes
due from the bond funds to the general fund, and

WHEREAS,in the opinion of the City Council, there will
be no loss to general fund:

NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:

Section
1. That any loss arising from the collection
of delinquent taxes from all years to and including the fiscal
year 1940-1941, caused by advancements to the several bond
funds be absorbed by the General Fund.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect as of
June 30, 1942.
Section 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
remain in effect until further order of the City Council.
