3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHOR-
IZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF CREDIT IN LIEU OF BOND. '

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS, the City has heretofore accepted certain
:v.:alv6s'and.;merchlindi'se contracted for and agreed to be furnished

by Chapman Valve Manufacturing Co., as more fully appears in
Resolution NO. 1182 of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of accepting in lieu of

performapce bond the cost of same to the contractor:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of
Vernon hereby approves and accepts as credit the sum of $2.50
from Chapman Valve Manufacturing Co., in lieu of them filing a
performance bond.
Section 2. The cost of said bond on the open market
to the Chapman Valve 1~nufacturing Co. would be the sum of $2.50.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to
accept a credit from the Chapman Valve Manufacturing Co.,
for the above reasons.
Section 4. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution
and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
Adopted and approved this 16th day of February, 1943.
