A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT-
3 ING THE DEEP WELL TURBI1~ Pt~ AND APPlrnTENANCES IN WELL NO. 7
IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 130.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

THAT, VniEREAS, the City has heretofore entered into
a contract with Layne and Bowler Corporation to furnish and
install a deep well turbine pump and appurtenances in Well No.
7 of the City of Vernon, as set forth in said contract dated

Juhe 22, 1942, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Vernon
has notified the City Council in writing that said Layne and

Bowler Corporation has delivered in a satisfactory manner all
14
merchandise called for in their contract with the City, in ac-
cordance with Specification No. 130:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1.
That the City Council of the City of

Vernon does hereby accept the said merchandise as described in
said contract, together with the installation thereof, in ac-
cordance with the Notice Inviting Sealed Propoxals and Contract
between the City and Layne and Bowler Corporation.

Section 2.
That the demand of said Layne and Bowler

Corporation be paid in the sum of $9328.17, the said sum being
the full contract price for the furnishing and installation of
said turbine pump and appurtenances hereinbefore referred to.

Section 3.
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution
and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
