.A. RESOLUTION OF THE CI'l'Y COUNCIL OF THE CI'l'Y OF VERNOll ACCEPT-
ING THE BID OF $2110.03 FOR WATER PIPE IN ABANDONED STREET,
TOGETHER WITH TEEIR PROPORTION OF THE NET INSTALLATION COSTS
FOR .A. NE\f SERVICE.
THE CITY C GUlICIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

THAT, WHEREAS the City. bas heretofore abandoned a
certain street in the City of Vernon known and designated as

50th Street, and
WHEREAS at the t~e of the abandonment thereof there
was in said street a dead-end water pipe of the cit~ts water

system, and
WHEREAS the Boyle Manufacturing Compan~, now the owners
of the property heretofore known as 50th Street are desirous ot
purchasing said water pipe in said abandoned at reet and. have
offered the cit~ the cost thereof laid, the sum of $1264.15
and further agree to pa~ to the city the sum of $845.88 f~r
the installation of a new service to said Boyle Manufacturing
Compan~:

NOW, ~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. The City does hereby accept the offer made
by the Boyle Manufacturing Compan~ to pay to the Cit~ the sum of

$1264.15 for the water pipe in the abandoned street formerl~
known as 50th Street, and to further pa~ the Ci~ $845.88, the
cost of a new service from the Cit~ts water system to its plant.
Section 2. The Ci~ Clerk is authorized to accept
the sum of $1264.15 and to issue a receipt in the name of the
Cit~ therefor and. to credit the Water Department for said sum
and further to accept:l>tm1 the B0~le Manu:ttac turimg Cempan~ the
sum of $845.88 tor its share of a new connection to their

1 Section 3. The City Clerk of the Ci t~ of Vernon
2 is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this L1esolution
3 and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in fUll force
