RESOLUTION NO. LOO3.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, EXTEND-
ING THE TIME FOR LAYNE & BOWLER TO FURNISH ONE DEEP WELL TUR-
BINE PUMP AND APPURTENANCES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, The City of Vernon did, on the 15th day of
June, 1942, enter into a written contract with LAYNE & BOWLER
CORPORATION to furnish and install for the City one deep well
turbine pump and appurtenances, and to complete same on or be-
fore the first day of November,1942, and
WHEREAS, The LAYBE & BOWLER CORPORATION was unable to
install said deep well turbine pump and appurtenances for the
reason that the priority rating of the City was nptsuch that
said contractor could furnish and install said 4eep well turbine
pump on time, and
WHEREAS, The LAYNE & BOWLER CORPORATION has~~uest
an eKtension of time up to and including the 11th day of June,
1943, for the furnishing and installing of said deep well tur-
bine pump and appurtenances, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Vernon has
recommended that an extension of time as requested, be granted:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1.
Tha t LAYNE & BOWLER CORPORATION be granted
an extension of time to and including June 11, 19~3, to complete
its contract with the City to furnish and install one deep well
turbine pump and appurtenances in accordance with Specification
No. 130.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this, Resolution, and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
