RESOLUTION NO. 1204.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
ONE DEEP WELL TURBINE PUMP AND APPURTENANCES IN THE CITY OF VER-
NON'S WELL NO. 7 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATION NO. 130.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, The City has heretofore entered into a contract
with LAYNE & BOWLER CORPORATION to furnish and install a deep well
turbine pump and appurtenances in Well No.7 of the City of Ver-
DOn, as set forth in said contract dated June 22d, 1942, and
WHEREAS, The City Engineer of the City of Vernon has
notified the City Council in writing that said LAYNE & BOWLER
CORPORATION has delivered and installed in a satisfactory manner
all merchandise and equipment called for in its contract with the
City, Specification No. 130, and
WHEREAS, the revised contract price for the furnishing
and installation of said deep
well turbine pump and appurtenances
was Eleven Thousand Sixty-seven and 63/100 ($11067.63) Dollars,
and
WHEREAS, The City has heretofore made a partial payment
upon said contract in the sum of Nine Thousand Three Hundred
Twenty-eight and 17/100 ($9328.17) Dollars, and
WHEREAS, there is now due on said contract the sum of
Six Hundred Thirty-two and 70/100 ($632.70) Dollars in accord-
ance with the estimate of the City Engineer of said City, now
on file in the office of the City Clerk:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Ver-
non does hereby accept as of June lOth, 1943, the installation of
the deep well turbine pump and appurtenances in Well No. 7 together
with all other equipment installed therein, in accordance with Notic
inviting sealed proposals and Contract between the Cit~ and LAYNE
& BOWLER CORPORATION.

Section 2. That the demand of the said LAYNE &: BOWLER
CORPORATION be paid in the sum of Six Hundred Thirty-two and
70/100 ($632.70) Dollars, said sum being the amount.: now due
upon the contract price for the furnishing and installing of
said turbine pump and appurtenances hereinbefore referred to.
Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 1204 was
duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Vernon, and
approved by the Mayor ot said City at a regular meeting thereof,
held on the 15th day of June,
