RESOLUTION NO. 1207
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, EXTEND-
ING TIME FOR LAYNE & BOWLER TO FURNISH ONE DEEP WELL TURBINE
PUMP AND APPURTENANCES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, The City of Vernon did, on the 15th day of
June, 1942 enter into a written contract with LAYNE & BOWLER
CORPORATION, to furnish and install for the City one deep well
turbine pump and appurtenances, and to complete same on or be-
fore the first day of November, 1942, and
WHEREAS, The Layne & Bowler Corporation was unable to
install said deep well turbine pump and appurtenances for the
reason that the priority rating of the Ci~y was not such that
said contractor could furnish and install said deep well turbine

pump on time, and
WHEREAS The Layne & Bower Corpo~ation has requested
an extension of time up to and including the lOth day of June,
1943, for the furnishing and installing of said deep well tur-

bibe pump and appurtenances, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Vernon has

recommended that an extension of time as requested, be granted:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1.
That LAYNE & BOWLER CORPORATION be granted

an extension of time to and including June 10, 1943 to complete
its contract with the City to furnish and in.stall one deep well
turbine pump and appurtenances in accordance with Speci~lcation
No. 130.

Section 2.
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
