RESOLUTION NO. 1227
A. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AWARD-
ING TO CHAPMAN VALVE MANUFACTURING CO. THE CONTRACT FOR THE
FURNISHING OF CERTAIN VALVES FOR THE CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS, THE CITY HAS heretofore advertised
for bids for the furnishing to the City certain valves as set
forth in the notice advertising for bids, and hereinafter set
forth, and
WHEREAS, The 6hapman Valve Manufacturing Co., has
filed a bid for the furnishing of said merchandise in the
sum of $1773.74:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1.
Tha t all bids pursuant to Notice a dver-
tising for the furnishing of certain valves for the City of
Vernon, be, and the same are hereby rejected with the exception
of the bid of the Chapman Valve Manufacturing Co., and that it
is hereby awarded the contract for the furnishing of the follow-
ing merchandise:

Massachusetts, with full freight allowance to the City of Ver-
non, all of said merchandise to be delivered to the City of
Vernon within four weeks from the date of the signing of the
contract.
Section 2.
The City Clerk be, and he is hereby
authorized and instructed and empowered to return all checks
of unsuccessful bidders.
Section 3.
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
Adopted and approved this 21st
