RESOLUTION NO. 1235
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
DEED FROM WILLIAM CARTER~ JR.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT~ WHEREAS. WILLIAM CARTER~ JR. ~ has tendered to
the City of Vernon the attached deed tor certain property to
be used for road purposes within the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS the City is desirous of accepting same:
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That the City of Vernon does hereby accept
the attached deed from William Carter, Jr. to the City of Vernon.
Section 2. The City Clerk is authorized, instructed
and empowered to have same recorded in the name of the City.
$;,.ction 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter same shall be iR full force

GRANT DEED
WILLIAM CARTER, Jr., PARTY OF THE FIRST PART,
in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00), does
hereby grant to the CITY OF VERNON, a Municipal Corporation,
PARTY OF THE SECOND PART, all of the real property sit~ate in
City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
described as follows:
A Right of Way and Easement for Public Road
Purposes, being all of the real property situated in
the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, and being that portion of Lot 38, of the
500 Acre Tract of the Los Angeles Fruitland Association
as shown on map recorded in Book 3, at pages 156 and 157
Miscellaneous Records of said County, more particularly
described as follows: .
Beginning at a point in the northwesterly corner of said
Lot 38; thence along the nort~erly line of said Lot 38,
N. 88-52-06E., a distance of 15.00 feet; thence S.
1-07-54 E. a distance of 10.00 ft. to a point in the
beginning of a curve concave to the southeast, and having
a radius of 15.00 ft., the center of said curve bearing
S.1-07-54 E. from last said point; thence southwesterly
along said curve a distance of 23.59 ft., measured on the
arc, to a point in the westerly line of said Lot 38;
thence along the last said westerly line, N. 1-15-11 W.,
a distance of 25.03 ft., more or less to aforesaid point
of beginning.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD unto the said grantee, its success-
ors and assigns.
