RESOLUTION NO. 1236
A RESOLUTION OF TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON. CONSENT-
ING TO AND APPROVING THE ACTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
TEE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES. STATE OF CALIFORNIA. IN ADOPTING A
RESOLUTION DECIARING PORTION OF WASHINGTON BOULEVARD FROM DOWNEY
ROAD WESTERLY TO THE CITY LIMITS OF TEE CITY OF VERNON A PAR'f OF
THE COUNTY SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS OF SAID COUNTY OF LOO ANGELES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE A S FOLLO\\S:
THAT. WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, did on November 30,1943
declare Washington Boulevard from Downey Road westerly to the
City Limits of the City of Vernon, a part of the County system
of highways of said Oounty if Los Angeles, to be improved with
the construction of asphaltic concrete pavement and macadam pave-
ment, cement concrete curb and gutter, as set forth in said
resolution; and
WHEBEAS, the Board of Supervisors of said County bas
requested the consent of the C~ty Council of the City of Vernon
to perform said acts:
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RES OL'VED:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby consent to and approve the action of the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles in declaring Washing-
ton Boulevard from Downey Road westerly to the City Limits of
the City of Vernon to be a part of the County system of highways
of Los Angeles County, as provided in Sections 1700 to 1702 in-
clusive of the Street and Highway Code of the State of California.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of ~ernon
does further consent to the improvement by said County of Los
Angeles of Washington Boulevard from Downey Road westerly to
the City Limits of the City of Vernon in the manner provided
for in said resolution of the Board of Supervisors of s.aid County
of Los Angeles, adopted November 30th, 19'3.
