A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON~ AUTHOR-
izing pap1ent of $1047 TO THE CITY OF LOS ANGh"'LES TO SECURE ROAD
DEED FOR THE CITY OF VERNON"
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT ~ WHEREAS the City of Los Angeles has presented to
the City Council in the name of the City of Vernon,a certain
road deed conveying the property described in said deed, and
WHEREAS the City has heretofore accepted said deed
for the purpose of completing the right of way to Washington
Boulevard within the City:
NOW~ THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1.
That in payment of said deed the City

Treasurer of the City of Vernon be, and he is hereby authorized
to pay to the City of Los Angeles, the sum of $1047.00.

The City Clerk shall certify to the

Gentlemen:
Herewith is letter dated January 7,
1944 from Mr" 0" F. Cooley, County Road Commissioner,
together with deed from City of Los Angeles and the
Departmentyof Water and Power conveying to City of
Vernon a road easement across the Department's
Right of Way for location of Washington Street.
It is recommended that this deed be accepted,
and that payment for same in the amount of $1,047,,00
be authorized.
The City of Vernon has now received Los
Angeles County check No. G 45374, in amount $1,047.00,
as reimbursement for the same amount to be paid by
the City to the City of Los Angeles.

21, 1943 from the City of Los Angeles and the Department
of Water and Power, f~r a road easement to the City of
Vernon, in connection with a portion of the right of way
for Washington Boulevard within the limits of the City.
I am also enclosing a copy of their letter of transmittal"
You are authorized to use this deed when you can
forward to me a check in the amount of $1,047.00 payable
to the City of Los Angeles and the Department of Water and
Power of the City of Los Angeles for transmittal to them.
You should also make demand upon the County of
Los Angeles for the above amount in accordance with Reso-
lution adopted by the Board of Supervisors on February 2,
1943, which authorized Coupty aid toward the acquisition
of this right of way"
