2 A RESOLUTION OF TEE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF VERNON ESTAB-
LISHING A POLLING PLACE, APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICERS TO CONDUCT
3 A GENERAL MUNICIPAL BLECTION TO BE EELD APRIL 11th, 1944, AND
FIXING TEElR COMPENSATION.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That at a general Municipal Election to
7 be held in the City of Vernon, C~fornia, April 11, 1944, there
8 will be one voting precinct in said city, and the polling place
9 of said precinct shall be in the lobby of the City Hall of the
10 City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, Cal-
11 ifornia.

Section 2. That the election officers to conduct said

General Municipal election to be held on TueSday, April 11, 1944
in the City of Vernon, California, are hereby appointed and
designated as follows:

(1) Violet Woodworth
11) Marjorie 'arrier
(2) Alma Field

20 Each of said election officers aforementioned, being an elector
21 and residing in the City of Vernon, and the Compensation of said
22 election officers shall be Ten ($10.00) Dollars for his or her
23 services at said election.

Section 3.
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution,
and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect"

NOTICE OF ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a General Municipal
Election will be held in the City or Vernon, California on
the 11th day of April, 1944 for the election of the following
officers:
Two councilmen for the full term of four years
One oouncilmen for an unexpired term of two years
A City Clerk for the full term of four years
A City Treasurer for the full term of rour years
There will be one voting precinct for the purpose
of holding the said General Municipal Eleotion, and the polling
place shall be in the lobby of the City Hall of said City, loca-
ted at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California. The polls
shall be open between the hours of 6:00 O'clock A. M" and
6:00 o'clock P. M.
