RESOLUTION NO. 1249
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNOl'l ACCEPTING
THE FURNISHING AND INSTLLING OF ONE DEEP WELL TURBINE PUMP COM-
PLETE WITH APPURTENANCES IN CITY WELL No.8, AS PROVIDED IN CON-
TRACT WITH LAYNE & BOWLE...i:( CORPORATION, DA'llED SEPTEMBER 16, 1943,
IN ACCORD WITH SPECIFICATION NO. 137.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, the City has heretofore entered into a contract
with Layne & Bowler Corporation to furnish and install one deep
well t~bine pump complete with appurtenances in City W~llNo. 8
as provided in contract da ted ~tember 15, 1943, and
WI-IEEEAS, the City .engineer of the City of Vernon has
notified the City authorities in writing that said Layne & Bow-
ler Corporation has completed its work in accordance with contract
Specification No" 137 and Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals or
Bids, and reco~~ends that the City accept said deep well turbine
pump, the same now being completed.
NOW, TB::EREF'ORE, BE IT I-rES OL \TED:
Section 1. Tl~t the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby accept said deep well turbine pump complete with
appurtenances in City Well No.8, the same having been fully
completed in accordance with contract Specification No. 137 and
Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids, as evidenced by commu-
nication of the City Engineer of said City.
Section 2. That the demand accompanying said recommen-
dation of the City Engineer in the sum of $7,350.42, for the
doing of said work be, and the same is hereby approved, said
sum of $7,350.42 being the full contract price for the doing
of said work, less 10% to be withheld in a.ccordance with the
contract.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
