ING THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION AS OF MARCH 3, 1944, ONE
3 DEEP WELL TURBINE PUMP COMPLETE WITH APPURTENANCES IN CITY WEEL
NO.8.. AS PROVIDED IN CONTRACT WITH LAYlm & BOWLER CORPORATION..

; and REPEALING RESOLUTION No. 1249.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DO~ RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, the City has heretofore entered into a contract
with Laybe & Bowler Corporation to furnish and iistall one deep
well turbine pump complete with appurtenances in City Well No.
8 as provided in contract dated September l5, 1943, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Vernon has
notified the City authorities in writing that said Layne & Bow-
ler Corporation has completed its work on March 3, 1944, in ac-
cordance with contract Specification No. 137 and Notice Invit-
ing Sealed Proposals or Bids, and recommend. that the City Accept
said deep well turbine pump, the same now being completed.

Section 4. The City C11!lrk shall certify to the pas-
2 sage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same
3 shall be in full force and effect.
4 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 18th day of April, 1944.
