1 RESOLUTION NO. 1259
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON EMPLOYING
EDWARD R. YOUNG AS SPECIAL COUNSEL FOR TEE CITY OF VERNON TO
3 STUDY TEE HAZARDOUS AND DANGEROUS CONDITIONS NOW EXISTING AT THE
UNLOADING RACK OF THE WILSHIRE OIL COM:PANY.

TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That Edward R. Young, Attorney at Law,
be and he is hereby employed by the City of Vernon as Special
Counsel to study the hazardous and dangerous condition now
existing at the unloading rack of the Wilshire Oil Company at
2500 East 28th Street, created by the unloading of gasoline or
naphtha from tank cars by Southern California Gas Company and. to
take such steps and bring such action or actions as in his
opinion may be necessary to abate this hazardous and dangerous

condition.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby agree to compensate the said Edward R" Young in a
reasonable amount for all services rendered in the above matter"
Section 3.
The City Cle rk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 8th day of Nov
1944.
