RESOLUTION NO. 1273
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON INSTRUCT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO CORRECT THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
AS OF SEPTEMBER 5, 1944.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY Olf' VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
did on September 5, 1944 approve a recommendation of the City
Engineer of said City in respect to the rate of pay to be paid
certain city employees effective July 1, 1944; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk's memorandum of the action 0 f the
City Council of the City of Vernon shows the action taken by the
City Council on said date; and
WHEREAS, in transcribing the minutes of the City Goun-

cil of said date, the action of the City Council in referen~\ to

the recommendation of the City Engineer of said City was inad-

vertantly omitted:
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved:
Section 1. That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
be, and he 1s hereby authorized and instructed to correct the
minutes of September 5, 1944 to show that the City Council of
the City of Vernon did on said date fix the rate of pay for the
following persons, to take effect July 1, 1944, until further
order of the City Council:
G. F. Forncrook, Office Engineer now $235.00
to be $250.00 per month
A. W. Phillips, Asst. Engineer, now $225.00
to be $250.00 per month
H. C. Rogers, Inspector, now $225.00, to be
$250.00 per month, including the use of
his own automobile for City work
Lee Mendozal Pipe Fitter, now $7.10 per day,
to be ~7.50 per day of 8 hours
C. A. Lopez! Pipe Fitter, now $6.70 per day,
to be ~7.10 per day of 8 hours

Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this resolution and upon said certification and
approval thereof by the Mayor, the same shall be in full foree
and effeet.
