2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TI-ili: CI'l'Y OF VERNON FIXING
ALL COMPENSATION FOR CITY EMPLOYEES AT THE PRESENT RATE, TO BE
3 CHANGED AT TEE PLEASURE OF THE BOARD:
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, the CityCouncil has heretofore fixed the
6 compensation for some city employees to terminate at the end
7 of the national emergency, and
8 WHEREAS, it is the desire of the CityCouncil at this
9 time to make said salaries permanent, subject only to the
10 pleasure of the Board:
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1. That all compensation now paid to all
city employees, excep.t those elected by the people, shall re-
main as they now stand, subject to the pleasure of the Board.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
is hereby directed to certify to thepassage of this Resolution
and thereupon and thereafterthe same shall be in full force and
effect.

hereby certify that the f'oregoing Resolution No. 1276, was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Vernon, and approved
by the Mayor of said City at a regular meeting thereof' held on
August 21, 1945.
