2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING
AN ACT OF TEE MAYOR OF SAID CITY.

'!'HE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

TEAT, WHEREAS, F. p. French, City Treasurer, was
ill and unable to sign the payroll checks of said City of
Vernon, said payroll being approved at the last regular
meeting of the City Council held on January~tf946;~
WHEREAS, the Mayor of said City did authorize the
First National Bank of Vernon to cash said checks without the

signature of the Treasurer of the City of Vernon, said checks
being numbers 23947 to and including number 24039, drawn on the
City 0 f Vernon payroll account, and checks number 51458 to and
including number 51509, drawn on the General FUnd:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the act of the Mayor of said City of Vernon
authorizing the First Nltional Bank of Vernon to pay said checks
enumerated above, be, and the same is hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk is hereby direeted to certify to
the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.

hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 1286, was
duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Vernon, and ap-
proved by the Mayor of said City at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on February 5, 1946.
