RESOLUTION NO. 129S
A RESOLUTION OF THE C1TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC
INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND THE ACQUISITION,
CON:STRUCTION, AND COMPLETION OF A CERTAIN MUNICIPAL
IMPROVEMENT, NAMELY, A BUILDING FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES,
TO WIT: A FIRE ENGINE STATION HOUSE, INCLUDING THE
ACQUISITION OF FURNISHINGS THEREFOR AND FIRE APPARATUS
FOR THE PREVENTION AND EXTINGUISHMENT OF FIRES, AT AN
ESTIMATEDeOST OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS; THAT
SAID MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT IS NECESSARY AND CONVENIENT
TO CARRY OUT TEE OBJECTS, PURPOSES, AND POWERS OF SAID.
CITY OF VERl-TON; THAT THE COST THEREOF IS AND ,WILL :BE
TOO GREAT TO BE PAID OUT OF THE ORDINARY ANlUIAL INOOME
A.~D REVENUE OF SAID CITY.
BE IT RESOLVED and determined, by the City Council
of the City of Vernon, Cal ifornia, as follows:
Section 1. That the public interest and necessity
demand the acquisition, construction, and completion by said
City of Vernon, of a certain municipal improvement, namely a
building for municipal purposes, to wit: a fire engine station
house, including the acquisition of furnishings therefor and
fire apparatus for the prevention and extinguishment of fires.
Section 2. That said municipal improvement is nec-
essary and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes and
powers of said City of Vernon.
Section 3. That the estimated cost of said proposed
municipal improvement is the sum of one hundred thousand dollars
($lOO,OOO.OO) and that such cost is, and will be too great ,to be
paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said city.

Section 4. Tha t the City Clerk of said city shall
attest this resolution, shall certify to the passage and
adoption thereof, and the vote thereon; shall cause the same
together with his said certificate to be entered in the Book
of Resolutions of said city and shall make a minute of the
passage and adoption thereof in the minutes of the meeting
at which the same is passed and adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Vernon, California, at an adjourned regular meeting of
said Council held on Tuesday, the 25th day of June, 1946.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of mamb ers
of th~ City Council of the said city is five; that the fore-
going resolution, being Resolution No. 1298 ,was passed
and adopted by the said City Council, .approved and signed by

at an adjourned regular meeting of the said City Council held on
