A RESOLU'fION OF '!'HE CITY COOCIL OF '!'HE CITY OF VEDO. CONSD'f-
ING TO AID APPROVING DE ACTION OF '!'HE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
'!'HE COUNTY OF LOS Al'GELES" S'fA'fE OF CALIFORNIA IN ADOPTING A
RESOLU'fION DECLARING A PORTIO. OF WASHII'GTON BOu.LEV'ARI> AS PAR'f
OF T.HE COOTY SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS FOR SAID COUIfTY OF LOS Al'GELES.
'fHE CITY CODCIL OF THE CITY OF VERl'ON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
'fHA'f.. WHEREAS, the Board ot Supervisors ot the Count,.
of Los Angeles, State of California, did on the 17th da,. of
December, 1946 declare a portion of Washington Boulevard from
the east ci t,. boundry of Vernon to the Union Pacific Railroad
Underpass in the City ot vernon a portion ot the Count,. S,.stem
of Highways of said Los Angeles Count,., to be improved with
cement concrete curb, gutter.. asphaltic concrete pavement
and drainage structure, together with all grading and other
incidental or appurtenant york, as set forth in said resolution;
and
'WBEBEAS, the Board of Supervisors of said Count,. has
requested the consent of the City Council of the City of Vernon
to perform said acts:
!lOW" THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1.
'fhat the Citl Council of the City of
Vernon does hereb,. consent to and approve the action ot the
Board of Supervisors in declaring Washington Boulevard trom
the East eitl boundary line to the Union Pacific :Railroad
underpass in the City of Vernon to be a part of the Count,.
System of Righvays of Los Angeles County, as provided in Sections
1700 to 1702 inclusive of the Street and Hignway Code of the
State of California.
Section 2.
The City Council of the Cit,. ot Vernon
does hereby consent to the improvement by said Count,. of Los Ange-
les to that portion of Washington Boulevard in the manner pro-
v ided for in said Resolution of the Board of Supervisor....,'

that the following resolution be and the same is hereby adopted:
WHEREAS, by reason of its location and travel thereon, the here-
inafter described street in the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, should be a part of t he system of county highways
in said county; and
WHEREAS, it is the purpose of the Board of Supervisors of said
County to improve said stree1;, provided the consent of the gov.rnins
body of said City shall first be gIven:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Superviso1as of
the County of Los Angeles, State of Califorqia, that the fOllowing
